David Rumsey Historical Map Collection - http://www.davidrumsey.com/ - one of the best resources for quality, historic maps.
Lie of the Land: The Secret Life of Maps - http://www.bl.uk/whatson/exhibitions/lieland/m0-0.html - Very informative and interesting tour of historic map uses. Hard to navigate at first but you’ll get the hang of it.

The Newberry Library's Hermon Dunlap Smith Center for the History of Cartography - http://www.newberry.org/smith/smithhome.html - tons of links to historic map resources. Probably our single greatest resources in terms of historic map collections, aside from the Smithsonian.
